FAQs

FAQ 1: How will my log burner be delivered?

We recommend log burners are fully cleaned after use and once a year any specks of surface rust wiped away. Matt black heat resistant stover spray paint can be used to touch up any small areas of surface rust if required. Please get in touch if you would like us to supply this.

For cleaning glass there are specialist glass cleaning products available online. However in many cases generic detergent and warm water will be sufficient.

FAQ 2: How do I clean my log burner?

It is best to cover or store away the log burner during prolonged periods of non use or extreme weather (garage area).

Additional maintenance may be required if the log burner is left outside without being covered.

FAQ 3: Can I leave my log burner outside all year round?

FAQ 4: How do I best position my log burner?

FAQ 6: How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

All log burners are shipped on a standard euro pallet. Deliveries will be made by a lorry with a tail lift and pallet truck. This must be done on a firm and flat surface. The area must be accessible for the delivery truck.

Deliveries must signed for and can not be left unattended. Deliveries will be made kerbside and it is up to the customer to move the log burner into its final location.

The customer must check the condition of the goods before signing them off.

Due to durability and high quality materials, the log burners are a considerable weight. They require at least two people to move and position the burner.

For best performance, we recommend placing the log burners a minimum of 3m away from any obstructions such as walls and fences, in a position that will maximise chimney draw to assist combustion and draw smoke away from seated areas.

Choose a position that will not cause a fire risk to surrounding areas.

FAQ 5: What is the best way to light my log burner?

When first lighting your log burner, use paper with plenty of kindling and one log. Allow fire to take a hold prior to adding more wood. Open ash tray to increase draw if required. Use only good quality, kiln dried firewood. Logs under 10cm x 10cm x 20cm will give best results.

Do not burn rubbish or unseasoned wood.

FAQ 7: Will my log burner rust?

FAQ 8: Can I use my log burner indoors?

In most cases the log burners will be in stock and delivered in 3-5 business days. If the particular burner is in the process of being manufactured it may take slightly longer, however delivery details will be confirmed on receipt of the order.

Our log burners are made from steel and painted with hear resistant matt black paint. Through time if left outside, they will start showing signs of rust. We recommend burners are fully cleaned down after use and once per year any surface rust is wiped away and touched up with matt black heat resistant spray paint (which we can supply).

Only use paint suitable for log burners

No. Our log burners are designed to be used outdoors only, so you must not under any circumstances use the log burner indoors as this will be dangerous due to carbon monoxide fumes.
